Aftermath of New Zealand earthquake
Sorry, I don’t have a bigger version of that pic – found it here which has a collection of damage photos from the recent 7.1 earthquake in New Zealand.
We do get earthquakes in Oregon, though not with magnitudes like that. Still, as a preventative measure, there are a number of standard operating procedures set up for MAX light rail in the event of an earthquake. This includes following Control’s instructions (naturally), not going under an overpass or onto a bridge until the structural integrity of the surrounding area has been determined, and sweeping the alignment to make sure that nothing like the above picture happened.

Just want to add one thing: you might want to explain how the alignment is “swept” after an incident…
